Calgary Stampede LIGHTS UP THE CITY ....


LIGHT UP THE CITY:
Six Nights.  Five Locations
Five international-scale fireworks displays occur at the same time around the city on six evenings - including tonight - the largest and most sophisticated fireworks event ever produced in Canada.

  • Sunday July 8
  • Friday July 13
  • Saturday July 14
  • Sunday July 15
Fireworks will be set off from five locations across the city:
  • Stampede Park
  • Elliston Park
  • North Glenmore Park
  • McCall Lake
  • Winsport's Canada Olympic Park.
The 12-minute fireworks show will start between 11:00 and 11:30 pm and be synchronized to music. Tune into our media partners from Corus Entertainment - Country 105, Q107 or QR77 - to enjoy the show choreographed to music.


NOTE:  The Calgary Stampede will still have their Fireworks display nightly during the Stampede between 11:00pm - 11:30pm. at Stampede Park.

McCall Lake
Open at 9:45 p.m. for public access

1. Shuttle buses from Deerfoot Mall. 14 buses will run from 9:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. After the show, the buses will transport back to Deerfoot Mall (NW Parking lot). It is estimated to be 20 minutes round trip.

2. Calgary Transit bus routes #32, #72 and #73.

Elliston Park

1. Shuttle buses from Calgary Fire Training Site. The buses will run from 9:30 till 10:45 and back after the firework show. That parking is also close enough to walk from. This shuttle will drop guest off on the west side of Elliston Park.

2. Shuttle buses from Forest Lawn High School & Ernest Morrow Jr. HS. The buses will run from 9:30 till 10:45 and back after the firework show. This shuttle will drop guest off on the east side of Elliston Park. Just confirmed last week.

1. Parking available onsite.

North Glenmore fireworks (via South Glenmore Park)

1. Shuttle buses from Oakridge Co-op Parking Lot. The buses will run from 9:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. and transport back after the firework show.

2. Calgary Transit bus routes #79 & #80 calgarytransit.com

3. A limited number of handicap parking stalls are available onsite at South Glenmore. Handi-bus can drop off but can not park on site.

North Glenmore fireworks (via Heritage Park)

Plaza opens at 8:30 p.m. with live entertainment. Park opens at 8:30 p.m. for 1250 ticketed guests. NOTE:  All Heritage Park onsite tickets have already been allocated.

2. A limited number of handicap parking stalls are available onsite. Public Parking available for a fee of $5 per vehicle.
